About the Author – David Carr
David Carr has been passionate about sports all his life. He also began studying psychology as a teenager and his interest in that field grew dramatically over time. His love of athletic competition and his fascination with “why” people do the things they do, merged in an extraordinary way and inspired this extremely practical and life-changing sports psychology book. The combination of his participation as an athlete, his experiences as a coach, and twenty-five years in the business world have given him a unique perspective that hits home with readers of all ages, and of all backgrounds. David believes that not only is mental toughness crucial in one’s pursuit of becoming the best athlete possible but its role is much more significant in determining one’s success in life. He and his wife, Kelly, live in East Texas (White Oak) and are the proud parents of four sons who are featured on the cover of his book: Chris, Colby, Caleb and Cass.
